Not easily forgotten! The reason for the choice of colour is lost in the mists of time!
The colour chosen for the archive blog is pink in their honour!
Here we are, the calm before the storm, the trickle before the flood, or in this weather, the snowball before the avalanche.
Before us the task of tucking up into neat, exciting packages the untidy and unplanned past.
Wow! Nearly three decades of it.
So ideas first. How do you get your head around it. Well in one sense its easy. Literally you can't. The past itself is gone. Pwf! As ethereal as dust in a shaft as sunlight.
What we've got to collect is what the dust settles on. Easier said than done! This is where we are now, looking back and trying to find what the dust settled on.

The Cardiff Story Museum
Saw the room where the exhibition
could be, and it is huge, big enough for a flying trapeze!
It is a great space, we just need to collect the physical objects to fill it, and they're going to have to be bigger than a few juggling balls

The Glamorgan Archives
This is where the paper archive of NoFitState will be stored. We had a really constructive meeting with Susan Edwards and Rhian Phillips who were great and enthusiastic about the project. We met a conservator who was restoring one of their documents from the 1790s. Its bonkers to think that in 200 years time that could be a programme from Bianco being restored.
Tucked behind the Bluebird Stadium the Glamorgan Archives are a hidden treasure! |
